Miss Universe India 2020- Final Predictions

Miss Diva 2020 will be the 8th edition of Miss Diva pageant which is scheduled to be held on 22nd February, 2020. During the conclusion of the pageant, the outgoing Miss Universe India, Vartika Singh, who placed as a semi-finalist in Miss Universe 2019 pageant, will pass on her crown to her successor. The winner of Miss Diva 2020 pageant will represent India at Miss Universe 2020. In addition, Shefali Sood will crown her successor, who will represent India at the Miss Supranational 2020 pageant, which will be held in Poland. This will be the first edition of Miss Diva under Liva Fluid Fashion as the Yamaha Fascino stint with the said pageant ends.

After analyzing the contestants through various videos, social media interactions as well as advocacies, we are finally here with our final picks for Miss Diva 2020 crown, so without further delay let us begin!

10. Archana Ravi

Archana Ravi

23 years old, Archana Ravi is not a newbie in pageants. Having represented India at Miss Super Globe International 2018 and having won the first runner up position we can say, she has the exposure of knowing how a pageant candidate should be tailored. She has initiated a campaign called “Buddy Project” wherein she works to empower underprivileged children. Apart from that she has also been part of a Kannada movie. She is confident when she speaks but her only drawback is her styling.

9. Anisha Sharma

Anisha Sharma

Having met Anisha in Femina Miss India Chhattisgarh 2019 auditions, I must say that she has come a really long way. From her walk to talk to posture, she has shown an immensely brilliant transformation. While I haven’t really heard her speaking for a very long duration, knowing the fact that she was titled as one of the best speakers at the High Court, I am impressed with her profile, expecting a decent performance from her in the finals.

8. Vaishnavi Ganesh

Vaishnavi Ganesh

18 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall Vaishnavi comes across as a strong contestant in the competition. She is confident on the runway and give fierce vibes with her gaze. She is also photogenic in her stance. However, if she comes back for pageants the next time with even more preparations, polishing her skills, she can win one of the crowns.

7. Shreya Poonja

Shreya Poonja

Winning Campus Princess is not a cakewalk, and winning the same she has established her worth. Shreya Poonja, who is only 19 and stands 5 feet 8 inches tall looks natural, determined and confident from all the recent preliminary events we have witnessed till date.

6. Arshina Sumbul

Arshina Sumbul

21 years old Arshina Sumbul holds the title of Miss Elite Rajasthan 2018. I really appreciate her vivacious aura, she seems to be pretty easy going as her live sessions indicate her to be. Further, she looks confident in her own skin.

5. Aavriti Chaudhary

Aavriti Chaudhary

21 years old Aavriti Chaudhary is a classic example of raw Indian beauty. I love her skin tone and natural curly hair. She sets the fire on stage when she walks and looks incredibly fierce and sexy in all the photoshoots. She speaks well as well. However, she needs to be more prompt and spontaneous while answering tricky question.

4. Lavanya Gunasekar

Lavanya Gunasekar

24 years old, Lavanya is a doctor by profession, which makes her profile strong alone when considered from the perspective of IMG at Miss Universe. She is not only a highly eloquent speaker but is also a beautiful example of how dynamic a modern woman could be. I really appreciate all her photoshoots and if she wins the crown of Miss Universe India I would be really happy.

3. Roshni Sharma

Roshni Sharma

Winning the title of Miss Photogenic at any pageant is not a cakewalk and when it is Miss Diva or Femina Miss India it does matter for we have seen candidate like Vartika Singh winning this subtitle and even winning the crown. Roshni is a spontaneous and confident speaker and stands for a wonderful advocacy where she teaches slum children arts and rugby. Having such a modelesque face, Roshni could do wonders at both Miss Universe and Miss Supranational.

Miss Supranational India 2020- Rushali Yadav

Rushali Yadav

22 years old, Rushali Yadav is one of the most wisest choice for Miss Supranational pageant. She has a beautiful face and she knows how to project her features in shoots, thanks to her second runner up stint at Cycle 4 of India’s Next Top Model. She has the experience and exposure to present herself with fierceness and confidence. She knows how to kill it on stage.

Miss Universe India 2020- Adline Castelino

Adline Castelino

21 years old Adline is a model by profession. She is associated with the cause to uplift and empower the female farmers of the country. She is a perfect blend of grace, eloquence, spontaneity and fierceness. Her biggest asset is her flexibility to shape herself according to the situations both on the runway as well as on the camera or even off the camera. She has been consistent throughout the pageant. Her styling has been impeccable and if she is given the chance to wear the sash of India at Miss Universe I am sure, she will put back India on the map of the said pageant.

So these were my favorites for the crown. Also do not forget to watch my final review on Miss Diva at my YouTube Channel and do SUBSCRIBE to the channel. Until then, good bye! 🙂

Miss Diva 2020 Preliminary Competition Review- Who Stood Out?

Miss Universe India 2020- The Divas Who Stood Out in the Prelims

Miss Diva Organization officially unveiled the contestants competing for the title of Miss Universe India 2020 and Miss Supranational India 2020 in Mumbai on 22nd January, 2020 at Hilton Hotel wherein the contestants of Miss Diva 2020 walked down the runway in Gavin Miguel’s gown. During the same event winners of three sub-contests were also sashed, whereby Malashya Kashyap was announced as Miss Body Beautiful, Rashalika Sabharwal was titled as Miss Glowing Skin and Rushali Yadav was sashed as Times Miss Sudoku. It was announced that the Miss Diva 2020 contestants will now face another preliminary challenge in Benguluru, leading to the grand finale of the event on 22nd February, 2020.

While we are yet to release our latest hotpick, The Kaleidoscope of Pageantry discerned to come up with a review on few of the standouts from tonight’s event. So without much delay, let us begin.

Adline Castelino

I would not hesitate to say at all that right now she is the strongest crown contender for Miss Diva 2020. She is a perfect blend of elegance, fierceness, modesty and sophistication and it showed in tonight’s event. Her expressions are certainly one to die for!

Aavriti Choudhary

Such a pleasant surprise she is! Not only did she impress me through her photoshoots but she also ablaze the runway tonight with her chic humility and intense fierceness. Love her twirls and turns and her glittering confident smile she wore throughout her presence at the stage.

Vaishnavi Ganesh

The last one to enter the competition, but what a beautiful showstopper! Vaishnavi is not someone who could be ignored, and she certainly shines with her grace and finishing.

Lavanya Gunasekar

While I completely adore the kind of profile Lavanya has apart from her awe striking photoshoots and remarkable stage presence besides her hourglass corporeal frame, I would really appreciate her to use her social media handle actively like her many fellow contestants, for she is one who has the ability to win it all. Loved her tonight!

Rushali Yadav

Although Rushali is not flawless at the ramp, she has the potential to polish her skills and emerge as a frontrunner. She did not disappoint tonight and performed well but certainly the expectations are higher from her.

Megha Sachdeva

Ferociously fierce! Megha gave a decent performance tonight although she needs to tone down her expressions her little bit.

Payal Sharma

She is sexy and she knows it! What confidence, what oomph. Loved how she carried herself confidently on the stage.

Anisha Sharma

Anisha might not be the most talked about contestant of the batch but she delivered when it mattered. Really appreciate her parasela.

Shreya Poonja

Campus Princess Winner should never be overlooked for she wins after being assessed on various factors and Shreya precisely proved this fact to be true tonight. A decent performer!

After watching her headshot as well as the resort wear shot, I am sure she is going to harp in many surprises as the pageant begins. Not only she looks photogenic, but also gives a confident and vivacious reflection of her personality.

Adline Castelino

Adline Castelino

If there is one lady whom I can see wearing the sash of India at an international platform, she is certainly Adline. Now it shall be interesting to see how she works on her journey when the pageant kicks off, but she comes across as a highly resolute and determined contestant in her pictures.

Anisha Sharma

Anisha looks more photogenic than telegenic and this is surely going to benefit her in the days to come. I like the refinement in her expressions and gaze.

Archana Ravi

Archana Ravi

As much as I love Archana as a contestant in the competition, deeply appreciating her eloquence as well as social media handle considering how she projects her life story at the same, I would love to see her experimenting with her nuances when it comes to photoshoot. Farhat Firoza

Malashya Kashyap

She looks incredibly fierce in her pictures! Want to see more of her.

Megha Sachdeva

Megha Sachdeva

Megha has a quintessential Indianness in her beauty. The poise, the calmness and the mystery in her facial features makes her one to watch for in the competition. I cannot wait to see more of her!

Neha Jaiswal

Neha Jaiswal

Neha is a lovely girl in the batch in terms of her facial features, but I would love to see her experimenting with her expressions and poses. At present, she although gets noticed in the lot, but struggles to stand out!

Nishi Bhardwaj

Nishi Bharadwaj

Nishi looks even more refined this time! Having an experience of an international pageant, she doesn’t seem to be completely vouching on her previous stint, taking this opportunity for granted. I love the way she has worked upon herself and it reflects in the confidence she projects in her pictures.

Payal Sharma

Payal Sharma

Photoshoots are the forte of Payal! She is incredibly photogenic and looks great on camera, but I need to watch her in motion in order to discuss her prospects at the competition.

Rashalika Sabharwal

Rashalika Sabharwal

Rashalika has a gorgeous and commercial face. Hers is the kind of face which would be appreciated and loved by the sponsors. But when it comes to Miss Universe it is much more than that, so I am waiting to hear her speak!

Rushali Yadav

Rushali Yadav

She seems to have done her homework well. She comes across as very confident and fierce contender.

A great thing about Tanya is that she is a beautiful illustration of quintessential beauty. Neither she looks typically South Indian nor does she comes across as a peculiar North Indian. She has amazing features, sharp and determined gaze and an overall assured persona.

Vaishnavi Ganesh

Vaishnavi Ganesh

Although Vaishnavi made a late entry in the batch as a wild card contestant, but she did make her presence felt and that too tumultuously. She is brilliantly sharp in her features and gives confident vibes.

Black Girl Magic in 2019: Coincidence or Strategy?

New Age Pageant Queens or a Strategy to Cope with Declining Viewership?

2019 witnessed one of the most historic year for pageantry as winners of the most reputed national and international pageants crowned black women as the winners. This all started in September 2018, when Miss America Organization crowned a black woman from North Carolina named Nia Franklin, marking the beginning of a pioneering 2019 pageant circuit for black ladies. This was later followed by the crowning of Miss Teen USA 2019, Kaliegh Garris who was later joined by Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst. The significance of the Black Girl Reign in the year took over the internet drastically when Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa was crowned as Miss Universe 2019 in the first week of December. Very soon, Miss World Organization as well made a vital move when it decided to crown a black woman, Toni Ann Singh from Jamaica as Miss World 2019.

Now this does calls out for a celebration but let us ponder on the question that crowning all black ladies in the prominent national and international pageants is just a coincidence or a strategy to expand the popularity of the pageants worldwide.  It is a universally acknowledged fact that many feminists have often criticized and even questioned the existence of beauty pageants, blaming them to demean and commodify women with respect to their physical appearance. We are currently living in an era where these pageants have time and again moved beyond its accepted notion of beauty and has welcomed women from different ethnicities, gender preferences and culture, however when it comes to the main titleholder, the winner usually is clad in the much accepted standards of beauty and fashion.

Now let us go back to September 2018 when Nia Franklin was crowned as Miss America 2019. Soon after she won the title of Miss America, the social media went crazy appreciating the shifting beauty standards calling Nia a pioneer of new age beauty queens. And this did pioneer a new trend of black women winning many pageants in the days to come. But were those victories merely a coincidence falling in succession or was it a strategically planned move by the respective Organizations to fathom the trending popularity? It is interesting to note the fact that in its 92 editions, Nia Franklin is only the ninth woman to be crowned as a black Miss America, while in its 68 editions Zozibini Tunzi is only the sixth black woman to be crowned as Miss Universe. Pageant after pageant, whenever a black lady won any pageant, the social media went gaga over the change, whereby Miss World was the last pageant to close the season.

Seeing Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey congratulating Zozibini Tunzi, certainly alleviated the already popular Miss Universe pageant in terms of fame. Now coming to the Miss World 2019 pageant, while many people were rooting for India or France for the Miss World crown, Jamaica came in to competition all of a sudden and won it all with her terrific answer. Now we may claim she had the best answer in the final question and answer round, but we have seen many great spokeswomen in the final round who could not win the main title, considering the overall performance in the pageant. Hence, saying it is merely a coincidence would be inane. It could hence be said that Miss World was trying to share the similar popularity at social media which was achieved by its counterpart, Miss Universe Organization a week ago.

Although, pageants have recently sought to put more emphasis on the offstage lives of their contestants, highlighting their accomplishments and charity work instead of only their physical appearances, it is to be pondered that these historic wins come at a time in which the industry is struggling to modernize amid declining viewership. Do you believe the black girl magic of 2019 a coincidence or a strategy to gain worldwide popularity? Do let us know in the comment section!

Miss Universe Thailand, Fahsai Paweensuda Drouin

Thailand might have not won the crown, but it surely won the hearts when she took over the runway in an exuberant glazing red evening gown with a colossal thigh-high slit. This beautiful evening gown was designed by Surface Adhit Dhirakittiwat. The best feature of this awe striking gown was a sequined leg, which made it incredibly unique and impactful at the Miss Universe stage. If observed closely, the elaborate silver crystal beadwork framing the bodice in the design of falling stars was so ensnaring that one could never put off eyes from this amazing masterpiece.

Talking about the best evening gowns of the year and miss out on Catriona’s masterpiece during her farewell walk? Impossible! For her final walk as Miss Universe, the beauty queen glittered in a blue alon or wave inspired mermaid gown which was titled as “Reflection.” It was designed by none other than Mak Tumang. The evening gown was a combination of the now-iconic Mayon and Adarna, two gowns that Catriona wore when she competed for the Miss Universe 2018, which paid tribute to the country’s Mayon Volcano and Ibong Adarna respectively. The iridescent blue gown was intricately covered in Swarovski crystals and feather appliquĂ©s. Loved it completely!

Miss Diva 2020: First Impressions and Initial Review on the Miss Universe India 2020 Batch!

Miss Diva Universe 2020: First Hotpicks

It’s that time of the year again! Being an Indian, writing about Femina Miss India and Miss Diva has been a maudlin feeling for me.  I am more than happy about the fact that Miss Diva Organization is finally happening a year early, which shall give the newly elected Miss Universe India a lot of time to not only undergo extensive training but also build a much required social media momentum. With the beginning of new decade, Miss Diva Organization took a remarkably commendable step by finishing it’s auditioning and shortlisting process in 2019 itself, and promising the commencement of Miss Diva 2020 pageant in the mid-January.

Miss Diva 2020 will be the 8th edition of Miss Diva pageant which is scheduled to be held in February, 2020.

Miss Diva Organization recently unveiled the Top 19 contestants as well as 5 wildcard contestants, one of whom will join the Top 20 of Miss Diva finalists. After going through the social media profile, audition videos and photoshoots of various contestants, I am here with my pre-arrival favourites for Miss Diva 2020, so without further delay, let us delve in!

Potential Top 5 Finalists

Lavanya Gunasekar – This woman is a keeper for Miss Diva Organization. Besides having an accomplished and rich educational background as a doctor, Lavanya is not merely a model but also a dancer and singer. After seeing her talk in the auditions, I am convinced that she is going to go a long way. Will she win Miss Diva 2020? Too early to comment on this question, but I must say she fits the IMG bill very well. Do not be surprised if she makes it to Top 3 of Miss Diva 2020!

Lavanya Gunasekar Gandhi

Archana Ravi – Another amazing lady I am eyeing on for the title of Miss Diva 2020 as of now. Not only is she photogenic and elegant in her pictures, but she is even better in motion. I love the way she speaks and projects her thoughts. The clarity in her thoughts highlights that her speech is not at all rehearsed but well planned and organized. Would love to see more of her!

Archana Ravikumar

Adline Castelino – For people who have known her since many years know her real potential which is yet to be witnessed by the world. This amazing lady has already come a long way, evolving day by day in her eloquence, posture and projection. I cannot wait to see her performance at Miss Diva 2020.

Adline Castelino

Roshni Sharma – The moment Roshni’s picture went viral on social media, people went gaga over her! She effectively stands out in photoshoots and is certainly going to be benefited in the days to come during Miss Diva pageant for being photogenic. In addition, she speaks spontaneously and confidently, which is truly an asset for her. Would want to see more of her!

Roshni Sharma

Tanya Subramanian – It is a truth universally acknowledged, that no one can ignore a happy woman. The biggest asset of Tanya is her spontaneity, which would never be ignored at any pageant. At this stage, she comes across as a highly natural yet confident woman. If groomed and polished well, she may do great in the days to come!

Tanya Subramanian

Potential Semi-Finalists:

Nishi Bharadwaj was one of the finalists at Fbb Femina Miss India Haryana when Manushi Chhillar competed and finally won the crown of Miss Haryana and made her ticket to Miss India and eventually Miss World. Having represented India at Miss Earth, Nishi certainly has an edge over other contestants in terms of international pageant exposure, now it is up to her, how she is going to advance further with these privileges.

Rushali Yadav has one of the greatest edge over her fellow contestants as she is a runner up of Indian Television’s most reputed modelling show, which is, India’s Next Top Model. She has a great swimsuit body and looks commendable in her photoshoots.

Rashalika Sabharwal has an amazing fan base in her social media which is surely going to benefit her during the Miss Diva competition, other than that she has a commercially favourable face to shine.

Arshina Sumbul although looks naive but comes across as a fierce crown contender, while I am yet to hear her speak, I would love to see more of her.

Shivangi Sharma has a gorgeous face and holds a prior Femina Miss India Uttarakhand pageant experience. If she polishes her communication skills, she will surely give her fellow contestants a run for money.

So these were my initial favourites for Miss Universe India 2020 and Miss Supranational India 2020 titles. The list is surely going to see some of the changes when the pageant commences, until then stay tuned for more updates and do not forget to share your favourites with us by casting your vote in the link below.

Miss World 2019: Final Leaderboard and Concluding Review!

Miss World 2019: Final Predictions and Ultimate Picks for Crown!

Miss World 2019 will be the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant. The coronation gala of Miss World 2019 will be held on December 14, 2019 at the Excel London in London, United Kingdom, at the conclusion of which Vanessa Ponce of Mexico will crown her successor as the next Miss World. While we are just few hours away from the grand finale of Miss World 2019, after assessing contestants through various Fastrack Challenges and videos, I am finally here with my final picks for the Miss World crown, so without further delay let’s get started!

Leading the leaderboard is none other than Miss France, Ophély Mézino. France has won the Miss World crown only once and that too back in 1953. After multiple tumultuous placements at Miss World, I believe this is the time when France actually has the stars lined up for its second Miss World crown. Not only did Ophély Mézino paved her way to Top 5 of Top Model Round as well as Top 10 of Beauty with a Purpose Fastrack Challenges, but also holds eloquence and charm worthy of being appreciated. I have my eyes fixed on her!

France- Ophély Mézino

Next up we have Miss Nigeria, Nyekachi Douglas. If there is one woman who is leading the pageant as a one woman army then it is none other than Nyekachi. After winning the Top Model Round, Head to Head Challenge and runner up position in Sports Challenge as well as becoming a finalist in Beauty with a Purpose Challenge, Nigeria has solidified its position to grab the much adored Miss World crown. She is exclusively spontaneous, energetic and vivacious, and I believe this feature might just get Africa another lauded crown in a span of one week.

Following closely is Miss India, Suman Rao. It has not been a very long time since India has been gifted with the Miss World crown, but watching the highly exuberant Suman Rao, India’s vision towards seventh Miss World crown does not seem like a far-fetched dream! Suman has paved her way in the Top Model Round, Beauty with a Purpose Round as well as Talent Round, and in addition has also won the Head to Head Challenge. Do not be surprised if she walks home with the crown tonight!

India- Suman Rao

Semi-Finalists

  • Uganda – Oliver Nakakande
  • Trinidad and Tobago – Tya Janè Ramey
  • Czech Republic – Denisa Spergerová
  • Vietnam – Lương ThĂąy Linh
  • Venezuela – Isabella RodrĂguez
  • Indonesia – Princess Megonondo
  • Jamaica – Toni-Ann Singh

Uganda has shown terrific presence since the initial days of the pageant and it shall be interesting to see how she will perform in the finale tonight. Trinidad and Tobago seemed to have created a momentum in the competition with her mirth and spark. Further, Czech Republic looks like a flag bearer from the European continent. Following her closely is Vietnam predeceasing Venezuela who looks like a drought breaker to the nation. Talking about Miss World and forget Indonesia? That’s not possible! Indonesia has sent another amazing candidate to the Miss World competition. Last but not the least, Jamaica looks like a very promising candidate in the race to the Miss World crown!

So these were my favourites for the Miss World 2019 crown. Whom are you rooting for to be Miss World 2019? Do let me know in the comments below.

Miss Universe 2019: Who Nailed Preliminary Evening Gown Competition? [REVIEW]

Miss Universe 2019: A Review on Evening Gown Preliminary Competition

Miss Universe 2019 will be the 68th edition of the Miss Universe pageant which is slated to take place on December 8, 2019 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. During the conclusion of the pageant, Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor as the new Miss Universe.

After watching all the delegates giving each other a tough and nerve wrecking fight, I came up with few performances which impressed me the most in the evening gown preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2019.

In no particular order, here are my favorites from the Preliminary Evening Gown Round-

I believe Indonesia nailed this segment and came out to stand out effortlessly. I loved her facial expressions, composure and posture. I also admire Iceland a lot in this segment, completely head over heals for her smile. Kenya also owned this segment with her effervescence, grace and elegance. Next we have, Puerto Rico who was chic and gracious at the same time. Vietnam also came up as the highlight of the segment channelizing her graceful spontaneity. I also loved Mexico, France and Colombia along with Denmark and Philippines in the given segment. Albania also gave a decent performance overall.

Who were your favorites among the contestants in the evening gown round? Do let me know in the comment section. Meanwhile, here is the complete gallery of the evening gown preliminary competition.

Miss Universe 2019: A Review on Swimsuit Preliminary Competition

Miss Universe 2019 will be the 68th edition of the Miss Universe pageant which is slated to take place on December 8, 2019 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. During the conclusion of the pageant, Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor as the new Miss Universe.

The prelims were held at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States and the ramp in which the delegates across 90 countries strutted their stuff was too narrow to behold the grandeur of the pageant like Miss Universe apart from that many candidates slipped at the runway. Considered to be one of the most watched and followed pageant in the world, this preliminary competition arrangement is surely going to cost the Miss Universe pageant a lot.

After watching all the delegates giving each other a tough and nerve wrecking fight, I came up with few performances which impressed me the most in the swimsuit preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2019.

In no particular order, here are my favorites from the Preliminary Swimsuit Round-

One of the candidates who impressed me the most in the swimsuit competition is Brazil. Not only did she exhibits grace but also had an amazing body to steal all the limelight. Closely following her is Puerto Rico who walked like a diva channelizing her inner goddess. Next we have Philippines who was super confident on the stage and naturally showcased her fierceness. Thereafter we have very elegant South Africa whose walk was very satisfying to watch! Subsequently we have the effervescent Tanzania who smiled like a goddess. In addition, we have Venezuela who was perfect in terms of walk and confidence. Furthermore, we have India who looked vibrant and fresh throughout. How can we forget Colombia who oozed panache throughout! I also liked Denmark, France, Indonesia, Mexico, Thailand and Kenya in the segment. Although Indonesia and France tripped while walking but they managed to come back even more strongly after their horrific fall.

Who were your favorites among the contestants in the swimsuit round? Do let me know in the comment section. Meanwhile, here is the complete gallery of the swimsuit preliminary competition.

Miss Universe 2019- Final Predictions and Concluding Review!

Miss Universe 2019- Final Hotpicks

And finally that time of the year is here! The most anticipated, loved and cherished pageants of all, the Miss Universe pageant is finally on the verge of culmination. Last night we saw all the ninety candidates strut the runway in the swimsuit and evening gown, which further sealed their fate of making a cut to the finals. After observing the candidates in the Preliminary Competition and in erstwhile videos and pictures, I am here with my final predictions on the Miss Universe 2019 competition, so without much ado let us begin!

Top 5 Finalists

1. Brazil- JĂşlia Horta

Looking at the current batch I feel the entire batch overall is not exceptionally great unlike previous few years, given that if someone really stands out in the crowd and has a chance to take home the Miss Universe crown, it should be none other than Brazil. Brazil has a charming face and a very fresh personality, I love how she smiles and gazes while walking the stage. Brazil gave one of the most brilliant swimsuit performances during the prelims and when I hear her talking back stage, she comes across as a highly spontaneous and full of life lady, which makes me think she fits the bill of being the next Miss Universe!

2. France- Maëva Coucke

If there is a right pageant for Maëva it has to be Miss Universe pageant! We all saw her perform during Miss World 2018 but it is Miss Universe 2019 competition that is bringing out the best in her. I loved the way she projected herself during the preliminary competition. Despite of the horrific fall in the swimsuit round, she managed to walk the stage with oomph, confidence and style. I do not completely see her sweeping the crown right now, but if she does, I would not mind her victory at all.

3. Puerto Rico-  Madison Anderson

Now Puerto Rico here in Top 5 is not a surprise for anyone! She has been delivering her best right since the pageant kicked off. From her walk to talk, she is completely pageant ready. I really appreciate her preliminary performances in both the swimsuit and evening gown rounds. Given the weightage which the sash of Puerto Rico carries at the Miss Universe pageant, she may really secure her place at the top notch.

4. Indonesia- Frederika Alexis Cull

Looking at Indonesia perform in the prelims, I was thinking that this nation has come a long way in the pageant scenario. Frederika Alexis Cull is probably one of my personal favourite delegates Indonesia has ever sent to the Miss Universe pageant. From her fierce expressions to smooth runway skills, she has got it all. I am expecting her to seal her spot in Top 5 tonight.

5. Colombia- Gabriela Tafur

Colombia smashing in Top 5 finals of Miss Universe has been no surprise since last few years. After sending amazing candidates to the said pageant year after year this year as well Colombia has maintained its benchmark. Gabriela Tafur is perfect when it comes to stage presence, giving her fellow candidates a run for money.

Top 10 Finalists

6. South Africa- Zozibini Tunzi

Carrying an unusual look with panache, Zozibini Tunzi is one of the smartest and most confident delegates in the batch. I love how she reflects her personality with flair.

7. USA- Cheslie Kryst

Oozing flamboyance through her fitness, Cheslie Kryst surely carries more weight in her personality than her sash offers her. While she may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I find her stage presence to be commendable.

8. Philippines- Gazini Ganados

A very smart choice by Philippines after last year victory at Miss Universe! While the candidate representing the nation of reigning Miss Universe undergoes a lot of pressure, what I really appreciate in Gazini is her spontaneity and fierceness. She seems to be calm, poised and focused.

9. India- Vartika Singh

India’s long drought at Miss Universe pageant should come to an end if such a praiseworthy candidate like Vartika is holding their sash. I love how she speaks from heart and the way she carries herself in interviews. Her overall personality has been captivating for many and I feel she deserves to be credited for her laudable performance.

10. Thailand-  Paweensuda Drouin

While she has been people’s favourite before the pageant begin, but later we saw many girls who were performing better than what was expected from them. Thailand surely has a huge fan base for her advantage but when we come to her performance it does not manage to convince that she can sweep off the most precious crown in the pageant history. Although she looks good on stage and has a decent presence, yet she lacks a charm of being a Miss Universe winner.

Top 20 Semi-Finalists

11. Tanzania- Shubila Stanton

One of the most beautiful surprises of the prelims, I love the way she gracefully carried herself, holding her poise and composure.

12. Denmark- Katja Stokholm

While many might have failed to notice her, Denmark surely exhibits the confidence needed to shine at Miss Universe stage. In my opinion she has to place for sure!

13. Kenya- Stacy Michuki

Ask me who had the most natural and convincing smile in the prelims and I would name Kenya! Loved her stage presence!

14. Albania- Cindy Marina

A very decent delegate for a pageant like Miss Universe! She has got a good body and strikes attention when she struts the runway.

15. Iceland- Birta Abiba Þórhallsdóttir

Slay them with kindness! Yes, that was the quote which crossed my mind while watching her performance! Completely admire her vibrant yet fierce performance, she certainly deserves a place in semi-finals.

16. Mexcio- SofĂa AragĂłn

Mexico never fails to impress! Fierce and effervescent, she deserves a spotlight!

17. Vietnam- HoĂ ng ThĂąy

One girl I really admired in the pageant for her natural beauty and grace is Vietnam. She gave a decent preliminary performance. Would love to see her in finals!

18. Dominican Republic- Clauvid Dály

When the pageant begun I really was having an eye on her! Although she did give a fair performance yet she lacked energy enough to gain limelight!

19. Peru- Kelin Rivera

Great body and lovely stage presence! Watch out for her as she may give us some pleasant surprise in the finals!

20. Ecuador- Cristina Hidalgo

A charming woman with divine stage presence!

So these were my favourites for Miss Universe 2019 competition. Who are you rooting for? Let me know in the comment section below!
