Rafah Nanjeba Wins Miss World Bangladesh 2019
Rafah Nanjeba Torsa was crowned as Miss World Bangladesh 2019 on 11th October, 2019 at capital’s Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel. She succeeds Jannatul Ferdous Oishee as the new representative of Bangladesh at the Miss World pageant. Rafah will now represent Bangladesh at the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant in London this December.
Miss World Bangladesh 2019 pageant witnessed the participation of 37 candidates, where Fatiha Khalud Mayami and Zannatul Ferdaus Meghla emerged as the first and second runners-up respectively.

Rafah Nanjeba Torsa is a second year graduate student of Chittagong University’s International Relations department. After winning the crown she expressed, “Each of the participants who competed for the title were very talented. I can not express the feeling when I heard my name was announced as the winner. I am very grateful to the organizers.”
Rafah, who is a television show host in Bijoy TV, previously won the 2008 little of Little Miss Chittagong, and also received the first prize in folk dancing category from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for winning 2009’s Bangabandhu Shishu Kishor Competition. She also won a government grant to visit Japan, but could not attend as she was representing Chittagong division in a miming competition in Delhi. In addition, she also holds a gold medal for Bharat Natyam in the National Youth Competition back in 2010. She also became the first runner up of NTV Marks All Rounder 2010, won the first prize from Chittagong division in National Science Competition 2015, and has been starred in Tauquir Ahmed’s film Halda as well.
