Kamila Świerc Wins Miss Polski 2017
18 years old, Kamila Świerc from Opole was crowned as Miss Polski 2017 on December 3, 2017 in Krynica-Zdrój. She succeeds Magdalena Bieńkowska as the new Miss World Poland and will now represent Poland at Miss World 2018, hoping to succeed Manushi Chhillar of India as next Miss World.
This year 24 candidates vied for the title of Miss World Poland 2018. During the same event, Marta Pałucka from Sopot was titled as the first runner up and Marta Ziębakowska from Ziemia Łódzka was adjudged as the second runner up.
Poland has won the Miss World crown only once till date under the representation of Aneta Kręglicka in 1989. The last woman from Poland to place at Miss World pageant is the outgoing queen, Magdalena Bieńkowska, who finished as a Top 40 quarter-finalist at Miss World 2017 pageant held in Sanya, China on November 18, 2017.
