Akuany Ayuen Crowned Miss World South Sudan 

Akuany Ayuen was crowned as Miss World South Sudan 2016 on October 7, 2016 at New Sudan Palace Hotel along Airport Drive in Juba.

She succeeds Miss World South Sudan 2015, Ajaa Kiir Monchol Deng and will now represent South Sudan at Miss World 2016, hoping to be crowned by Mireia Lalaguna Royo of Spain.

South Sudan made its debut at Miss World in 2012 with Atong Demach, who was crowned as Continental Queen of Africa along with bagging the Top 7 finalist spot. With only one non-placement, South Sudan has been consistently placing at Miss World since 2014.
