McKenzie Jade Faggart Crowned Miss North Carolina 2016

McKenzie Jade Faggart, Miss Mecklenburg County was crowned Miss North Carolina 2016 on June 25, 2016 in Raleigh. McKenzie Jade Faggart succeeds Kate Peacock and will now compete in the coming edition of Miss America 2017, hoping to be crowned as next Miss America by the reigning beauty queen, Betty Cantrell from Georgia.

At the same event, Catherine White, Miss Clayton’s Outstanding Teen was crowned as Miss Outstanding Teen of North Carolina 2016.

North Carolina has won the Miss America crown once in 1961 through Maria Fletcher.
